The North Whale House in Amagansett, NY, is a modern single-family residence designed by Berg Design in 2013. Conceived as an oasis for a family retreat, the home emphasizes a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living, creating a backdrop for both entertaining and quiet, informal gatherings.
The architecture balances warm, modern design with the natural beauty of the East End landscape. Expansive glass doors and windows frame views and encourage cross-ventilation, while open living and dining areas flow effortlessly into outdoor terraces, a pool, and landscaped gardens. Natural materials and clean lines create an atmosphere of comfort and sophistication, allowing the home to feel both contemporary and timeless.
